Dave Armstrong Named VP & GM of KCBQ and KPRZ, San Diego; New Role Marks GM's Return to Socal
Tuesday, October 10, 2006 8:00 am PDTSAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Salem Communications Corporation (NASDAQ:SALM), a leading U.S. radio broadcaster, Internet content provider and magazine publisher targeting audiences interested in Christian- and family-themed content and conservative values, today announced that Dave Armstrong, vice president and general manager of Salem’s New York cluster, will return to California to manage Salem’s San Diego stations K-Praise 1210 AM KPRZ and News Talk 1170 AM KCBQ. M. Susan Lucchesi has been appointed general manager of the New York stations, WMCA 570 AM and WWDJ 970 AM.

Armstrong spent the past three years as vice president and general manager of WMCA and WWDJ in New York. During that time, he was responsible for developing new media partnerships, including establishing an exclusive Christian Teaching and Talk channel with AOL to provide Internet radio to AOL subscribers. Armstrong also launched PodPLUS, on demand programming for local ministries.
