SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 8, 2006--Salem Communications (Nasdaq:SALM), the leading U.S. radio broadcaster, Internet content provider and magazine publisher targeting audiences interested in Christian and family themed content and conservative values, today announced that "The Jerry Doyle Show" will premiere August 11 on NewsTalk 1300 KKOL-AM in Seattle. The show will air live weekdays from noon to 3 p.m.

KKOL General Manager Joe Gonzalez said, "Jerry Doyle is one of the leading new voices in conservative radio, and we are confident that he will resonate with KKOL listeners."

Fast paced, caller driven and issue oriented, "The Jerry Doyle Show" airs on more than 225 stations nationwide. Northwest listeners will enjoy Doyle's anecdotal humor, satirical observations and well-rounded social commentary. His ability to choose compelling topics provokes lively conversations on the issues of the day.

Jerry Doyle grew up in Brooklyn, NY, the eldest son of a police officer and a stay-at-home mom. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He then joined the marketing and sales division of Falcon Jet Corporation.

At the height of a successful career on Wall Street, Doyle decided to take on a new challenge. Within weeks of moving to Hollywood, he landed his first acting job. He went on to star in the long-running sci-fi series "Babylon 5," and he continues to star in many roles on TV and in films. In 2000, Doyle ran for Congress as a Republican in California, and he campaigned for President George Bush in the lead-up to his second term in the White House. In 2005, Jerry gave up his affiliation with the Republican Party, now describing himself as an "Independent Conservative."

In addition to its radio properties, Salem Communications owns Salem Radio Network(R), which syndicates talk, news and music programming to approximately 2,000 affiliates; Salem Radio Representatives(TM), a national radio advertising sales force; Salem Web Network(TM), an Internet provider of Christian content and online streaming; and Salem Publishing(TM), a publisher of Christian-themed magazines. Upon the close of all announced transactions, the company will own 102 radio stations, including 65 stations in 23 of the top 25 markets.
