San Francisco Bay Area Station KFAX-AM 1100 Makes Its On-Stage Debut

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 1, 2005--Bay Area station KFAX-AM (1100 AM) will launch KFAX Speaker Series 2005, the station's first annual speaker event beginning this fall. The conference-style events are open to the public and will address important, relevant issues for families, featuring some of the nation's best ministry leaders and teachers heard throughout the week on KFAX 1100 AM.

September 9th will feature Jim Burns of HomeWord (heard weekdays at 6:00 AM), in a message called "The Private Life of the American Young Person." Burns will speak on contemporary issues currently affecting young people including drugs, alcohol and the Internet. He also will provide parents and their children practical help for building morals, values and faith in an ever-changing world.

On October 6th, KFAX will host New Life Live! Ministries (heard weekdays at 1:00 PM), featuring Steve Arterburn and co-hosts Dr. Henry Cloud and Dr. John Townsend, for an event titled: "Singles: The Power of One." This event aims at giving singles at any age the tools needed to revive a love life, recognize healthy qualities for dating and move forward from challenges in past relationships. New Life Ministries is the nation's largest faith-based broadcast, counseling and treatment ministry.

November 4th will feature Brooklyn Tabernacle Church Pastor Jim Cymbala, author of the award-winning book, Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire. The final event on December 9th will highlight Hank Hanegraaff, also known as "The Bible Answerman" (heard weekdays at 3:00 PM). Hanegraaff will host an interactive event where he will answer audience questions.
