Call For Entries!! Local Christian Music Hopefuls Vie For The StarFish Award; Winner to Perform at FISH FEST, Sunday, July 25 At the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater
Monday, May 10, 2004 8:00 am PDTThe StarFish Award, sponsored by Applied Financial Planning, will be voted on by music professionals as well as KFSH-FM (95.9 FM) and KKLA-FM (99.5 FM) listeners.
Contestants are invited to submit one song on CD. Submissions will be accepted now through June 18, 2004. The Salem Los Angeles music team -- Bob Shaw, KFSH-FM (95.9 FM) Music Director; Jim Governale, weekend host; Big Wave Dave, afternoons on KFSH-FM (95.9 FM), and Chuck Tyler, Salem Los Angeles Program Director -- will select weekly finalists that will air Fridays on KFSH-FM (95.9 FM)'s "Fresh Fish Friday," between April 23-June 25, 2004. Listeners will be invited to vote for their favorite StarFish song online on the KFSH-FM (95.9 FM) website (www.thefish959.com) or on the KKLA-FM (99.5 FM) website (www.kkla.com) from June 26-July 4, 2004. Results will be tabulated and announced on both stations on Friday, July 9. The grand prize winner will appear on the Main Stage at FISH FEST, and their CD will be submitted for review and professional critique by independent label, INO Records.
