SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 15, 2003--KPRZ's Dana Sturgeon, host of "The Dana Sturgeon Show" and midday host on KPRZ 1210AM, was awarded the 2003 Achievement in Radio (A.I.R.) Award for "Best Talk Show Host" by the San Diego Radio Broadcasters Association, at a ceremony on October 9, 2003. Sturgeon, who is also a contributing editor for Salem Communications' (Nasdaq:SALM) "Salem Family Minutes," a syndicated feature commentary in 14 of Salem's stations nationwide, competed against San Diego radio veteran Roger Hedgecock. "The Dana Sturgeon Show" delivers hard-hitting views, warm-hearted insights, candid opinions and compassionate concerns to listeners, middays from 2-3 p.m. Monday through Friday on KPRZ 1210AM. Dana's unique format and genuine delivery have helped her to create a unique niche in San Diego's radio market, reaffirming Radio Business Report's prediction earlier this year of female-led talk shows, "Female talk radio isn't a matter of if. It's a matter of when." (

"The Dana Sturgeon Show," hosted by Dana Sturgeon, is produced by Gloria Deloney with production elements engineered by Bruce Johnson.
