AM 570 WMCA Adds Daily Talk Show Hosted by Kevin McCullough

CAMARILLO, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 07/22/13 -- Salem Communications Corporation (NASDAQ: SALM), a leading U.S. radio broadcaster, Internet content provider, and magazine and book publisher targeting audiences interested in Christian and conservative opinion content, and AM 570, WMCA, New York's Christian Talk, announced today that it is adding a local talk show by talk industry veteran Kevin McCullough, beginning Monday, August 5th. The show will be a return to WMCA by McCullough, who previously hosted a show on the station, and has also been heard on KKLA in Los Angeles and WMBI and WYLL in Chicago.

"Kevin has proven to be one of the true up-and-coming voices in Christian talk radio and we are delighted he will be able to join our team," said Salem VP/Director of Spoken Word Format Phil Boyce. "His afternoon program will be live and local, tackling issues of concern going on locally and in the world with a Christian world view." McCullough's program will include discussion with local ministers about their concerns and how our listeners can relate to and understand major world events in a biblical perspective. "The addition of Kevin will allow WMCA to truly reflect the attitude of the city we serve, and be more responsive to community concerns," said WMCA Vice President and General Manager Jerry Crowley.

"There are a mere handful of radio stations in the history of the medium with a past as legendary as WMCA," said McCullough. "I'm excited to align myself with the team of Crowley and Boyce, because I believe it bodes for an even more legendary future that is yet to come!"

McCullough will broadcast the program live every afternoon from 3 to 4pm from the AM 570 Studio. "Doing a local New York broadcast, in the greatest city in the world, that encourages people to 'obliterate confusion, replace it with clarity, by discussing God, Life, and News each day' is just about as exciting as great radio gets," McCullough said.
