New Program Director, Chris Squires, Named for Sacramento Stations KKFS-FM 105.5 and KSFS-FM 94.3

SACRAMENTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 18, 2005--Salem Communications Corporation (Nasdaq:SALM), the leading radio broadcaster focused on Christian and family-themed programming, announced that Sacramento station 105.5 The Fish(R) KKFS-FM and KSFS-FM 94.3 has named Chris Squires as its new program director.

Squires first entered radio broadcasting in 1969 holding a variety of positions. In 1977 he joined Buck Owens Production Co., Inc. as a morning personality. He started with Salem in 1998 as a programming consultant and was hired as programming director for KDAR-FM 98.3 in February 2005.

His prior experience includes serving as Director of Bakersfield Programming for Mondosphere Broadcasting and assisting in the Mondosphere Broadcasting to Clear Channel Communications transition. Most recently he was working as on-air talent for The Fox as "Stone Cold Spydee."
